74-year-old grievously injured after being hit by vehicle

An elderly man suffered grievous injuries in a traffic accident.

A 74-year-old man who resides in Mosta was taken to Mater Dei Hospital at around 10am after being involved in an accident on Triq Walter L. Salomone, Mosta.

Initial investigations found that the elderly man was hit by an Isuzu D-Max vehicle driven by a 38-year-old man, also a resident of Mosta.

He was given assistance by a medical team and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
