Man grievously injured in stabbing incident between neighbours

A man was grievously injured in a stabbing incident in Zurrieq on Friday, the police said.

An argument between neighbours – two men aged 68 and 27 – ensued in Valley Road at 5pm.

The two ended up in hospital, with the 68-year-old suffering grievous injuries after being stabbed with a pointed instrument while the younger man was unhurt.

Magistrate Franco Agius is leading an inquiry.
