PN leader Alex Borg visits Malta Red Cross Society headquarters
Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg on Monday morning visited the headquarters of the Malta Red Cross Society in Pembroke, where he was able to observe the valuable work carried out by this NGO, particularly in the provision of first aid, among other services.
He was welcomed by President Edward Gruppetta together with other members of the administration. During the visit, Alex Borg met with employees and volunteers of the Society who, on a daily basis, contribute their time to also provide essential services to the community.
The PN Leader heard how the Malta Red Cross Society provides assistance in various areas, including emergency response, social support, first aid services and assistance to vulnerable individuals.
He recognised how, through its work, it makes a concrete contribution to the wellbeing of Maltese society, with a strong emphasis on solidarity and humanity, a statement by the party read.
Accompanied by Shadow Minister for Voluntary Organisations David Agius and Shadow Minister for Inclusion Graziella Galea, Borg had the opportunity to learn more about the work carried out on a daily basis, as well as the challenges faced by the organisation in fulfilling its mission, the party said.
Borg reiterated his appreciation for the valuable work of the employees and volunteers, praising their commitment towards the community.
