Motorcyclist grievously injured in Żabbar traffic collision

A 21-year-old Italian motorcyclist was grievously injured in a traffic collision in Ħaż-Żabbar on Saturday morning.

The accident occurred at around 11:30am in Triq Villabate, when a Suzuki Baleno driven by a 37-year-old woman from Xgħajra was involved in a collision with a Yamaha motorcycle ridden by the young man.

A medical team was called in and an ambulance took the motorcyclist to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. He was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
