Electoral Commission to open applications for election staff ahead of general election on Wednesday

The Electoral Commission will open applications for Assistant Electoral Commissioners, Polling Place Officers and Counting Staff ahead of the general election scheduled for 30 May 2026 on Wednesday morning.

In a statement Tuesday evening, the Commission said it will receive applications from eligible persons wishing to serve in these roles during the forthcoming general election.

Applications will be accepted online via electoral.gov.mt/applynow from Wednesday 29 April at 8am until 8pm on Sunday 3 May.

Alternatively, applicants may submit their application in person by visiting the Commission’s premises at the Counting Hall Complex (Ex-Trade Fair Grounds) in Naxxar or the Electoral Office in Triq Ta’ Wara s-Sur, Victoria, Gozo.

In-person applications will be accepted from Wednesday 29 April until Sunday 3 May, between 8am and 1pm, and from 3pm to 8pm.

Applicants are required to present themselves personally and must bring their identity card.
