Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision in San Ġwann

A 32-year-old Brazilian woman suffered grievous injuries following a traffic accident in Regional Road, San Ġwann, on Friday morning.

Police said the accident happened at around 8.30am and involved a Nissan Juke driven by a 46-year-old man from Swieqi and a Peugeot Tweet motorcycle ridden by the woman, who resides in San Ġwann.

A medical team and ambulance were called to the scene and the motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. She was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
