Teen arrested over bomb threat at Mosta secondary school
A 15-year-old boy from Mosta has been arrested in connection with a bomb threat made against a secondary school in the locality, police said.
The incident occurred at around 9am on Monday, when police received a phone call from a male voice threatening that a bomb had been placed at the Mosta secondary school.
Authorities immediately ordered the evacuation of students and staff from the school as a precautionary measure. Members of the Armed Forces of Malta were also called to the scene to conduct a search of the premises, which later proved negative.
Within hours, police investigators arrested a 15-year-old Italian national who is allegedly behind the threat.
Police said investigations into the case are still ongoing.
