Motorcyclist suffers grievous injuries in traffic accident

A 25-year-old man from Tarxien was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital earlier today after being involved in a traffic collision in Marsa. The accident occurred at approximately 1pm on Triq it-Tiġrija.

Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that the accident involved a Sur-Ron motorcycle, operated by the 25-year-old, and a Mercedes vehicle driven by a 56-year-old man from Valletta.

A medical team provided emergency assistance at the scene before the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital via ambulance. He was later certified to be suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations into the circumstances of the crash are currently ongoing.
