CPD responds to industrial fire in Birkirkara

Civil Protection Department officers are responding to an industrial fire in Birkirkara.

Residents in nearby towns and villages including Swatar and Birkirkara are advised to keep all doors and windows closed as a precaution against smoke and fumes as they fought to put out the fire. “The public is urged to avoid the area due to safety concerns and ongoing emergency response operations.”

Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri said that the fire took place in a store for electric scooters.
