Delta’s historic direct flight from New York lands in Malta

A highly anticipated direct Delta Airlines flight from New York’s JFK Airport landed at Malta’s Luqa airport on Monday morning around 8:20am, MIA said on its Facebook page.

The inaugural flight marks a historic milestone for Malta, launching a seasonal service that will operate three times a week – arriving and returning on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays – through October.

The MIA is holding a press conference later to mark the event.
