Eight injured in Ċirkewwa minibus crash
Eight people were injured on Monday morning when a minibus carrying Bulgarian tourists veered off Marfa Road in Ċirkewwa, crashing through a wall and into a field.
The accident occurred just before 9am as the vehicle was heading toward the ferry terminal.
Emergency services responded in force, with multiple ambulances, police units, and Civil Protection Department rescuers arriving at the scene to assist the victims.
The group of injured passengers consisted of seven Bulgarian nationals, while the driver was identified as a 67-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay.
While the current medical condition of those involved has not yet been confirmed, witnesses described a significant rescue operation at the site.
