Elderly man seriously hurt after hit by car

An elderly man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car in Zurrieq, the police said,

The accident took place in St Paul’s Street at 5.45pm.

The pedestrian, aged 74 of Zurrieq, was hit by a Hyundai driven by a 32-year-old woman, also of Zurrieq.

Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace is leading an inquiry.
