Elderly man who lost his life in Qormi wall collapse identified as Elia Muscat

Elia Muscat was identified as the 76-year-old man who died when part of a wall gave way at around 5.30pm in Triq Farsina on Saturday.

He had been working alongside his 41-year-old son at the time of the incident.

The two men were carrying out some work when part of the wall that separates the property from a garage collapsed. The 41-year-old was extracted from the debris but the 71-year-old died on site, the police said.
