Elderly woman seriously injured in traffic accident

An elderly woman suffered serious injuries after she was hit by a truck in a traffic accident on Sunday morning.

Police said that the traffic accident happened at 8:30am in Triq Ċensu Borġ in Ħamrun.

The woman is 84 years old and lives in Ħamrun. She was hit by an Isuzu Elf truck which was being driven by a 67-year-old from Rabat.

The woman was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where she was certified as suffering from serious injuries.

Police said that investigations are ongoing.
