Man suffers grievous injuries after a fall

At around 12.30pm on Monday, the Police were informed that assistance was needed at a garage in Triq Ħal Qormi, Santa Venera.

The Police went to the scene and from preliminary investigations it resulted that a 25-year-old Indian man, residing in Lija, fell about one storey into a shaft.

A medical team was called to assist at the scene and an ambulance took him to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where it was certified that he suffered injuries of a grievous nature.

Police investigations into this case are still ongoing.
