MDA Secretary General and two council members submit their resignations

Three high officials within the Malta Development Association (MDA) have submitted their resignations from the lobby group’s council.

These are its now former Secretary General, Paul Attard, and ex-council members Pio Vassallo and Anton Camilleri (Tal-Franċiż).

All three stepped down from the MDA council on Friday. It is thought that their resignations stem from an internal disagreement over a decision made by the association last week.

The MDA thanked Attard, Vassallo, and Camilleri for “their service, their commitment, and the contribution they have made during their time on the council.”

MDA President Michael Stivala thanked them for the roles they played in supporting the association and its objectives. He also expressed the MDA’s appreciation for their work and dedication throughout their tenures.

Attard is the founder of PLAN Group, Vassallo is the CEO of Vassallo Group, and Camilleri, who is in charge of AC Group, is behind the tower set for the Villa Rosa site in St. Julian’s.

The MDA stated that it intends to “continue to move forward with full focus and responsibility, committed to representing the sector in a serious, balanced, and constructive manner in the national interest.”
