Momentum seeks alliance ahead of election
Momentum today concluded its Annual General Meeting, where the party formally declared its statement of intent to unify a strong third voice in the political landscape, a party statement said.
The AGM proceedings reinforced Momentum’s commitment to establishing a formidable Alliance that appeals to a broad, change-oriented electorate, including youth, centrists, professionals, and activists. Momentum said it is positioned as a platform for the future, focusing its highly targeted mission on winning a parliamentary seat of historic importance.
A central theme of the meeting was the call for dialogue and cooperation. Momentum’s strategy involves actively engaging with all parties willing to rally around a common set of values and principles. The core message is a commitment to a functional, transparent, and meritocratic system of governance, coupled with a strong and just economic policy for all. The party is seeking to appeal to voters disillusioned with the current political class and system.
Momentum said it is also issuing a call for candidates who are ready to be the first “domino” to shatter the status quo and deliver real change at a historic level. Candidates are assured they will preserve their integrity, as the party will not compromise on good governance, environmental stewardship, and economic justice.
The AGM also featured updates on the party’s work, including seven Vision Circles to strengthen participatory democracy and generate policy input from citizens, and reports from various working groups.
