Motorcyclist suffers grievous injuries in Luqa traffic accident

A 27-year-old man residing in Tarxien suffered grievous injuries after a traffic accident occurred in Luqa on Tuesday afternoon.

A police statement said that the incident occurred at approximately 2:45pm along Vjal l-Avjazzjoni, Luqa.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the man, who was driving a Honda motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle and fell.

Emergency services went on site, where the victim was administered immediate medical assistance.

He was then taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
