Triq Għajn Dwieli closed to traffic over safety risks

Triq Għajn Dwieli in Cospicua has been closed to traffic due to safety risks, the Police Force said in a notice on social media.

“Għajn Dwieli road in Cospicua, has been completely closed off to the public due to safety risks. Drivers are kindly requested to use alternative routes,” the police said.

It is understood that stones have collapsed onto the road close to the tunnel in this road.

Malta was battered by heavy winds and rain showers on Thursday, with the wind only expected to get worse in the coming days.
