Voters travelling abroad on Saturday allowed to skip queues

The Electoral Commission has said that voters who are due to travel abroad on polling day will be allowed to skip queues at polling centres, provided they present proof of their confirmed travel arrangements.

In a statement, the Commission said that on polling day, Saturday 30 May 2026, facilities will be provided to voters who are leaving Malta on the same day in order to allow them to bypass queues at voting centres.

It said these voters must present documented evidence of a confirmed travel booking to the police officer in charge at the respective polling centre.
