Woman critically injured after being hit by car

A woman was critically injured on Monday morning after she was hit by a car, yhe police said.

The woman, aged 71 of Mgarr, was hit by a Ford Transit driven by a 39-year-old man who resides in the same locality.

The woman was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The accident happened in Zebbiegh Street at 9.30am.

Magistrate Franco Agius is leading an inquiry.
