The government’s inaction on construction reform is destroying lives, Alternattiva Demokratika and the Partit Demokratiku said in a joint statement. <\/p>\n
The statement was published after yet another construction related fatality, when a Gambian worker was killed in a construction site accident on Thursday morning in Cospicua<\/a>. <\/p>\n “In the unabating and uncontrolled frenzy to demolish and re-build every possible square inch, yet another person’s life has ended in tragedy in Cospicua yesterday”, the statement read. <\/p>\n “It is evident that the new legislation enacted last year with all stakeholders of the construction industry is not worth the paper it was printed on.
