14-year-old rushed to hospital after hitting a rock when trying to dive into the sea<\/p>\n
A 14-year-old boy was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital after he tried to jump into the sea but hit a rock instead at Tigne Point in Sliema.<\/p>\n
Police said that the incident happened at around 3pm in a bay close to Tigne Point in Sliema.<\/p>\n
Preliminary investigations carried out by district police concluded that the boy had tried to jump into the sea, but had hit the rocks of the bay instead.<\/p>\n
The Civil Protection Department was called to assist the boy, and he was then taken to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.<\/p>\n
Police investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
