A public health alert has been issued after a Covid-19 case attended the Santa Venera feast last week.<\/p>\n
Health authorities said that the person, who was a local, sporadic case, attended the village’s band club on Wednesday 22 July and the village feast march on Thursday 23 July.<\/p>\n
People who attended these events are encouraged by health authorities to phone 111 to arrange an appointment to get tested for Covid-19, and are also advised to closely follow their health for symptoms for 14 days.<\/p>\n
It was not mentioned when the person in question tested positive for the virus.<\/p>\n
The alert comes at when calls for mass gatherings such as parties and feast marches to be banned again<\/a> have increased.
