Five AFM personnel serving with UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon<\/p>\n
Five personnel from the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) are currently deployed in Lebanon as part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), where they are serving under IRISHPOLBATT.<\/p>\n
Despite ongoing tensions and the demanding operational environment, the Maltese contingent continues to carry out its duties with professionalism and dedication, the AFM said on its Facebook page.<\/p>\n
Operating in a complex and challenging theatre, the AFM personnel remain committed to their mission, upholding the standards expected of United Nations peacekeepers while representing Malta on the international stage, the statement said.<\/p>\n
In recognition of their service, the Maltese troops recently participated in a medal parade held to mark their contribution to the UNIFIL mission and to acknowledge their commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n
