Police arrest two men over suspected drug trafficking in St Julian\u2019s<\/p>\n
Two men have been arrested in St Julian’s after police allegedly found them in possession of cocaine, heroin and cannabis during a patrol.<\/p>\n
A police statement on Tuesday said that police surveillance in the area of St Julian’s led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man from Żurrieq and a 23-year-old man from Senglea, who were found in possession of various types of drugs.<\/p>\n
During patrols carried out earlier on Tuesday, police officers noticed the men acting suspiciously while inside a Toyota Vitz.<\/p>\n
They were stopped in Triq Portomaso, where a search was conducted.<\/p>\n
Substances suspected to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis were found, along with an amount of cash and several mobile phones.<\/p>\n
The men are currently being held at the police lock-up in Floriana, while investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n
