{"id":84299,"date":"2026-05-12T14:47:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T12:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.shopsofmalta.com\/malta\/child-in-critical-condition-after-falling-into-swimming-pool-in-marsaxlokk\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T14:47:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T12:47:00","slug":"child-in-critical-condition-after-falling-into-swimming-pool-in-marsaxlokk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shopsofmalta.com\/malta\/child-in-critical-condition-after-falling-into-swimming-pool-in-marsaxlokk\/","title":{"rendered":"Child in critical condition after falling into swimming pool in Marsaxlokk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Child in critical condition after falling into swimming pool in Marsaxlokk<\/p>\n<p>A four-year-old boy is in critical condition after falling into a swimming pool at a private residence in Marsaxlokk on Tuesday morning, a police statement said.<\/p>\n<p>Police said that the incident happened at around 11.45am in Triq il-Port Ruman.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services, including a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital, were dispatched to the scene after authorities received a call requesting assistance.<\/p>\n<p>The child was found unconscious after being pulled from the water by people who were at the residence at the time of the accident.<\/p>\n<p>An ambulance took the boy to hospital, where he was later certified as being in a serious condition and admitted to intensive care.<\/p>\n<p>Police investigations are ongoing.
