Three, including 11-year-old, hospitalised after Attard crash<\/p>\n
Three people were hospitalised following a traffic accident in Attard on Tuesday afternoon, with one of those three facing life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Police said they were informed of the collision at around 1.30pm in Triq Vjal l-Istadium Nazzjonali, Attard.<\/p>\n
Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident involved a Honda Fit driven by a 51-year-old woman from Mtarfa and a Renault Arkana driven by a 51-year-old man from Marsaskala. An 11-year-old boy, also from Marsaskala, was travelling as a passenger in the Renault.<\/p>\n
A medical team and ambulances were dispatched to the scene, and all three individuals were taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
The woman was later certified as having suffered serious injuries, while the man sustained grievous injuries. The condition of the 11-year-old boy has not yet been made known.<\/p>\n
Police investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.<\/p>\n
