Updated: Bowser and trailer overturn in Ħal Far<\/p>\n

A bowser carrying cement and a trailer have overturned in Ħal Far earlier on Friday, in an accident that occurred on the main road, police have said. <\/p>\n

The trailer was driven by a 44 year old man from Msida, and the bowser was driven by a 49 year old man from Qormi. <\/p>\n

The two vehicles collided after 2pm on Triq Ħal Far, within the boundaries of Birżebbuġa, and both fell to their sides.<\/p>\n

At the moment of impact, the cement tanker came loose from the cabin.<\/p>\n

The road is presently shut to traffic because vehicles are obstructing both lanes and a “substantial amount” of cement and fuel is spread across the road.<\/p>\n

The driver of the bowser was taken to Mater Dei. The full degree of his injuries remains unkown. <\/p>\n
