37-year-old Albanian man arrested for drug trafficking, possession of cocaine and cannabis<\/p>\n
A 37-year-old Albanian man residing in Sannat, Gozo has been arrested following police action in connection to alleged drug trafficking.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday night, the police received reports on a Mazda vehicle’s suspicious movements in Triq Ulisse, which is located in the limits of Marsalforn and Żebbuġ in Gozo.<\/p>\n
Following these reports, officers immediately arrived at the scene where they noticed a person about to enter this car. The driver was soon arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking, the police said.<\/p>\n
Unspecified amounts of cocaine and cannabis were found inside the car during the search that followed. <\/p>\n
The police said that these drugs appeared ready for trafficking and were found alongside other drug-related items, such as a digital scale, a diary, and an undisclosed amount of cash.<\/p>\n
The police added that the Albanian man is currently being held under arrest and is expected to be brought before the Gozitan Courts on Friday morning, at 8:30am, before Magistrate Jean Paul Grech.<\/p>\n
