{"id":84833,"date":"2026-06-19T12:38:00","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.shopsofmalta.com\/malta\/cyclist-seriously-injured-in-ejtun-collision\/"},"modified":"2026-06-19T12:38:00","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T10:38:00","slug":"cyclist-seriously-injured-in-ejtun-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.shopsofmalta.com\/malta\/cyclist-seriously-injured-in-ejtun-collision\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyclist seriously injured in &#379;ejtun collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cyclist seriously injured in &#379;ejtun collision<\/p>\n<p>A 47-year-old man from &#294;al Tarxien was seriously injured in a traffic accident in &#379;ejtun earlier today.<\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred at approximately 10.15am on Triq id-Da&#295;la ta&#8217; San Tumas.<\/p>\n<p>According to initial reports from the Police, the collision involved a bicycle and a DAF vehicle driven by an 82-year-old man from Mqabba.<\/p>\n<p>A medical team arrived on the scene to provide emergency assistance, and the cyclist was transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as having sustained serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate Dr Monica Vella LL.D has been informed of the case and has initiated a Magisterial Inquiry.
