Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in Xagħra crash<\/p>\n
A 63-year-old motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries following a traffic accident in Xagħra, Gozo, this afternoon, the police said.<\/sup> <\/p>\n The accident occurred at approximately 2:15pm in Vjal it-8 ta’ Settembru.<\/sup> Preliminary police investigations indicate that a collision took place between a Toyota Yaris, driven by a 24-year-old man from Rabat, and a Yamaha Dragstar XVS650 motorcycle, ridden by the 63-year-old local resident. <\/p>\n A medical team was dispatched to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance.<\/sup> He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.<\/sup> <\/p>\n Magistrate Jean Paul Grech has been informed of the case and has launched a magisterial inquiry.<\/sup> Police investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.<\/sup> <\/p>\n
