Police end public appeal after missing mother and son found<\/p>\n
Police have confirmed that eight-year-old Khyl Agius Bonavia and Lorraine Bonavia have been found, bringing an end to a weeks-long search that prompted repeated public appeals for information.<\/p>\n
In a press statement issued Saturday, the Malta Police Force said the update follows earlier statements in which the public was asked to assist in locating the pair.<\/p>\n
“Kindly be informed that Lorraine Bonavia and Khyl Agius Bonavia have been found,” the police said in the brief statement.<\/p>\n
The force also thanked members of the public for their assistance during the search.<\/p>\n
The search began after eight-year-old Khyl Agius Bonavia was reported missing. Police had said he was last seen in the company of Lorraine Bonavia, who was also being sought on the order of a judge in connection with a court judgment.<\/p>\n
The police said it appreciated the public’s cooperation and assistance throughout the investigation.<\/p>\n
