An elderly man who had been reported missing was found injured after falling in a field, the Civil Protection Department said Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Rescue teams from Stations 3, 7, and 8 launched a swift operation late last night in the rugged terrain between Mġarr and Ġnejna after receiving urgent reports of a missing 83-year-old man.<\/p>\n
Working in close coordination with the Malta Police Force, emergency responders combed the area and successfully located the elderly man within just 90 minutes of the initial call.<\/p>\n
He had suffered a fall into a remote field, sustaining injuries that required immediate attention.<\/p>\n
Rescuers safely extracted him from the difficult location and handed him over to the Mater Dei Hospital Emergency Department medical team for urgent care and transport to the hospital.<\/p>\n
