Girl, 4, hospitalised with grievous injuries after multi-vehicle crash in Mellieħa<\/p>\n
A four-year-old girl suffered grievous injuries late Friday night following a multi-vehicle traffic accident in Triq il-Manikata, Mellieħa.<\/sup> <\/p>\n The incident took place at approximately 11pm.<\/sup> According to preliminary investigations, a Suzuki Swift driven by a 28-year-old woman from Santa Venera crashed into a pole and careened into the opposite carriageway.<\/sup> <\/p>\n The car then collided with a bus, driven by a 48-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay, and a Mercedes Sprinter van, driven by a 33-year-old man also from St Paul’s Bay.<\/sup> <\/p>\n A medical team rushed to the location to provide first aid to the driver and the four-year-old girl who was a passenger in her vehicle.<\/sup> Both were transferred to Mater Dei Hospital via ambulance.<\/sup> Medical professionals later certified the young girl with grievous injuries, while the driver was unhurt.<\/sup> <\/p>\n
