Person injured in fall rescued during joint operation at Blata l-Bajda<\/p>\n
A person who suffered a head injury after falling at Blata l-Bajda, in the limits of Selmun, was rescued during a coordinated operation involving the Civil Protection Department (CPD) and the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM).<\/p>\n
The Civil Protection Department said in a Facebook post it was alerted yesterday afternoon that an individual required medical assistance after falling from standing height in the area.<\/p>\n
A joint rescue operation was immediately launched, with an AFM rescuer providing initial assistance to the casualty.<\/p>\n
The injured person was then transported by a Civil Protection Department land asset to a safe and accessible location before being handed over to an ambulance crew waiting at Fort Campbell for further medical treatment.<\/p>\n
The Civil Protection Department thanked the Armed Forces of Malta, the Malta Police Force and the Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital for their assistance during the operation.<\/p>\n
