Woman grievously injured in crash

At around 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, the Police were informed of a traffic accident on Triq Ħal Farruġ, Luqa.

The Police went to the scene, and from a preliminary investigation it resulted that a collision had occurred between a Toyota Vitz driven by a 32-year-old woman residing in Kalkara and an Audi A4 driven by a 19-year-old man residing in Fgura.

A medical team was called to the scene, and an ambulance took the drivers to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where the woman was certified as suffering from grievous injuries, while the man sustained injuries of a slight nature.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
